On August 2, 2016 three students and their dogs passed the American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluation with flying colors at Michigan Dog Training in Plymouth, Michigan. They completed the Intermediate Manners dog class which prepared them for the evaluation. Â Congratulations to:

- Tim Porter and his dog Ziggy Stardust, a Cane Corso of Westland, Michigan
- Ellen Currin and her dog Winifred, a Pit mix of Detroit, Michigan
