On January 28, 2013, Teresa of Hazel Park, Michigan and Riggs, a German Shepherd, earned their Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title. They were evaluated by Michael Burkey, a professional dog trainer and behaviorist of Michigan Dog Training LLC. The CGC is an American Kennel Club (AKC) title in which the dog and handler have to successfully complete ten components of an evaluation. The purpose of the evaluation is to recognize those dogs who have been trained to be good citizens in the community. Congrats Teresa and Riggs!
