On October 12, 2012, Starbuck, a German Shepherd trained and handled by Michael Burkey, head dog trainer and owner at the Michigan Dog Trainer, a professional dog training corporation; earned his Novice Trick Dog (NTD) title. The dog titling organization for trick dogs is through Kyra Sundance’s corporation, Do More With Your Dog.

You too can train your dog to be a titled trick dog by joining MDT’s dog training classes offered at the Humane Society of Huron Valley in Ann Arbor, Michigan or at MDT’s Livonia, Michigan dog training facility. For information on dog training classes such as Basic Dog Manners, Circus Class, Remote Manners, Therapy Dog, or Feisty Fido visit the Michigan Dog Trainer website.

Once your dog earns their Novice Trick Title, they become eligible to participate with the MDT All Star Dogs trick performance team or pursue their Therapy dog certification with the Michigan Dog Trainer (MDT).
